Weed and Lawn Reminder

We have had a lot of rain this summer and with that came a lot of growth. Many properties in town seem to have struggled to keep up with the growth of their lawns. As a reminder Stratton Village Ordinance 91.24(B) states the following: The owner or occupant of any lot or piece of ground within the village shall keep the lot or piece of ground and adjoining streets and alleys free of any growth of 12 inches or more in height of weeds, grasses, or worthless vegetation. Please ensure your property is in compliance with this ordinance. Properties that are not in compliance may be subject to nuisance mowing by the Village employees. Current rates are $50.00 per hour for the mower plus a minimum $25.00 per hour labor charge for the first offence. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Village Office.
