May 4, 2026 Minutes
A meeting of the Stratton Village Board of Trustees was called to order at 7:00 pm on Monday May 4, 2026 at the Village Office by Chairman S. Hanes. Notice of the meeting was posted in three public places: Village Clerk’s Office, MNB Bank Stratton, and United States Post Office Stratton. Availability of the agenda was communicated in the advance notice. A poster of the “Open Meetings Act” was clearly visible on the wall, and Chairman Hanes directed the attention of those present to the poster. All proceedings hereafter shown occurred while the meeting was in session.
Present: Trustee H.A. Windecker, Trustee S. Hanes, Trustee P. Bohochik. Also in attendance were: Utilities Superintendent J. McCorkle, Clerk T. Hedrick.
OPEN FORUM:
Trustee Windecker inquired about the swimming pool. Utilities Superintendent McCorkle stated repairs are being worked on and hope to have the pool filled by the end of the week. Windecker inquired the status of the maintenance on the welcome signs. McCorkle said once weather is favorable the painting will be done. Bohochik asked if there was safe for children weed killer that could be applied to the area around the playground at the park. McCorkle will look into it. Update was given regarding unpaid citation that was issued.
Motion by Hanes and second by Bohochik to approve the previous minutes. Roll call: Ayes: Windecker, Hanes, Bohochik. Nays: None. Absent: Stewart and Moore. Motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
McCorkle reviewed the quote received from Premier Power for electrical meter change out at 304 Barton. Motion by Hanes and second by Bohochik to approve the electrical service update for up to $6400. Roll call: Ayes: Windecker, Hanes, Bohochik. Nays: None. Absent: Stewart and Moore. Motion carried.
Motion by Hanes and seconded by Windecker to adjourn the meeting. Roll call: Ayes: Windecker, Hanes, Bohochik. Nays: None. Absent: Stewart and Moore. Motion carried and meeting adjourned at 7:13 pm.
The next regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees will be held on Monday May18, 2026 at 7:00 pm at the Village Office.
