March 7, 2022 Minutes

A meeting of the Stratton Village Board of Trustees was held on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 7:00 pm CT at the Village Clerk’s Office. Notice of the meeting was posted and availability of the agenda was communicated in the advance notice. A poster of the “Open Meetings Act” was clearly visible on the board room wall, and Chairman J. Griffiths directed the attention of those present to the poster. All proceedings hereafter shown occurred while the meeting was in session. Present: Chairman J. Griffiths, Trustee J. McDonald, Trustee S. Hanes, Trustee T. Jones, Utilities Superintendent K. League, Assistant Utilities Superintendent D. Magley, and Clerk T. Hedrick.

The meeting was called to order at 7:02 pm.

OPEN FORUM:

No public comments were made.

Motion by J. McDonald and second by S. Hanes to approve the previous minutes. Roll call: Ayes: S. Hanes, J. Griffiths, T. Jones, J. McDonald. Nays: None. Absent M. McDonald. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

Chairman J. Griffiths read aloud resignation letter from Utilities Superintendent K. League with an anticipated final date of work the last week of March 2022. Motion by J. McDonald and second by T. Jones to accept resignation from Utilities Superintendent K. League. Roll call: Ayes: S. Hanes, J. Griffiths, T. Jones, J. McDonald. Nays: None. Absent M. McDonald. Motion carried.

Discussion was had regarding items that would need to be addressed prior to Utilities Superintendent League’s separation from the Village. Motion by S. Hanes and second by T. Jones for League to create a written transition plan with list of daily, monthly and annual duties and list of contacts and have available for review at the March 21^st board meeting. Roll call: Ayes: S. Hanes, J. Griffiths, T. Jones, J. McDonald. Nays: None. Absent M. McDonald. Motion carried.

With no objections Chairman J. Griffiths declared the meeting adjourned at 7:34pm.

The next meeting of the Village Board of Trustees will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the Village Office.
